We invite you to our upcoming HR Community event, a chance to connect with peers, share insights, and engage in thought-provoking discussions and expand your local network! LifeHR members attend for free, and HR professionals can attend at no cost by bringing a friend or colleague!
Event Details:
- Date: November 7, 2024
- Time: 4:00 – 6:00 pm (1 hour table topics, 1 hour happy hour)
- Location: Neurocrine Biosciences, Check-In by the courtyard side entrance
What to Expect:
This interactive roundtable will feature table topic discussions for the first hour covering key HR areas, including Training & Development, Preparing for Future Growth, Change Management, DE&I, and Headcount Planning. You'll rotate through each table and have the chance to discuss some of the most pressing HR challenges.
How It Works:
- Go Around the Table: Take turns selecting a question or two from the provided list.
- Facilitate the Discussion: Share insights, challenges, or experiences with the group.
- Time Limit: Each table will have 12 minutes.

Training & Development
- What has been your biggest success in developing leadership within your teams?
- How do you balance technical skills development with soft skills training?
Preparing for Future Growth
- How does your company maintain its culture while growing rapidly?
- How do you prepare your workforce to transition from R&D to commercialization?
Change Management
- What strategies have you implemented to make transitions smoother for employees during periods of change?
- What are some of the significant changes your organization has gone through as it’s grown?
DE&I
- What strategies have been most successful in fostering inclusivity in the workplace?
- What are your company’s plans for DE&I next year, and how are you thinking about it strategically?
Headcount Planning
- How do you manage headcount planning when navigating uncertainty?
- What system/or process does your company use for headcount planning?
